Two Rangers reach the finals of the NYS tournament! Bryan Bourne (160) faces Matt Bogardus (Fulton - Section 3) and Paul Glover (215) faces Robert Eskander (Section 5 - Webster Thomas). Congratulations to Chris Collura with his 5th place finish as he defeated Michael D'Amato (Section IX - Valley Central) 3-1 in OT and Justin Melia (112) with his 6th place finish. Nick Terenzi (130) and Paul Glover (215) earned wild card entries into the NYS Tournament. They will join teammates Justin Melia (112), Chris Collura (140), and Bryan Bourne (160).

2/23/2008:
Spencerport places 10 wrestlers at the NYS Qualifier Tournament. Individual champions include Justin Melia (112), Chris Collura (140), and Bryan Bourne (160). Spencerport wins the Class AA Sectional Tournament with 274.5 points to second place Fairport (162 pts). The Rangers send 15 wrestlers to the NYS Qualifier next weekend. Champions for the Rangers were Mike Piedimonte (96), Justin Melia (112), Nick Terenzi (130), Paul Morabito (135), Chris Collura (140), Bryan Bourne (160), Paul Glover (215) and Enzo Zagari (285). Congratulations to our JV team which took first place at the JV Monroe County Championships this weekend. The Rangers placed 27 wrestlers in the top six with the following champions: Geoff Brown (96), JP Hayden (112), Steven Maier (119), Graham Meagher (125), Chris Lopresti (130), Tim Campbell (135), Joe Inzana (140), Walt Roman (152), John Troina (160) and Brad Englert (189). The NYS Dual Meet Rankings have been released. Spencerport is ranked #1 for large schools. Seven other Section V schools are also ranked. The top 25 large and small schools can be seen here.
