Spencerport wrestlers pin Brockport

(January 12, 2006) — Dave Inclema fought off a big rally
by John Knapp at 130 pounds to win a narrow decision in
the last match and give Spencerport a come-from-behind 21-19
victory over Brockport in Monroe County wrestling Tuesday.
Brockport led 19-18 going into the match, but Inclema built
an early lead before Knapp's rally fell just short, 7-5.
Senior Anthony Borzilleri of host Spencerport decisioned
sophomore Brett Schickler 4-2 in overtime at 119, swinging
the momentum in the Rangers' favor before a capacity crowd
of 1,400, according to Spencerport assistant coach Joe Galina.
The Rangers (11-2) are ranked fifth in the state and Brockport
eighth. |
