Staff reports (February 5, 2006) — Sophomore Bryan Bourne scored a pin in one minute, 10 seconds as Spencerport defeated Canandaigua 39-19 in a non-league wrestling meet Saturday.

Bourne defeated Skyler Miller at 152 pounds.

Spencerport, ranked No. 5 in the state among large schools, trailed 14-0 after three matches before winning six consecutive matches. The Rangers have beaten or tied rival Canandaigua 12 years in a row.

"We're happy we won by the margin we did," Spencerport coach Bill Jacoutot said. "I just hope we can have a good week of practice, stay healthy and stay focused."
