After dominating the field Saturday at the Union-Endicott Duals, the Spencerport wrestling team has its eye on a fifth team state championship since 2001.

The Rangers had eight wrestlers finish undefeated in all three matches, including a 33-14 victory against Fulton of Section III in the final, to win their second consecutive Union-Endicott Duals title.

Senior captain Bryan Bourne scored a pin in two of his three wins at 171 pounds, including the final match, to lead Spencerport — the No. 1 team in the state in the large-school rankings.

Paul Morabito (135 pounds), Chris Collura (140), Dan Maier (152), Nick Baxter (189), Paul Glover (215), Justin Melia (112) and Nick Terenzi (130) also won all three of their matches for Spencerport. Matt Piedimonte was undefeated in two matches for the Rangers, who also defeated Fulton in the final last year.

Spencerport defeated Brentwood of Section XI in the semifinals, 43-10, and beat Mexico of Section III 53-4 in the quarterfinals. Fulton is ranked No. 5 in the large-school rankings, Brentwood is No. 8 and Mexico is No. 9.

The Rangers received a bye in the first round of the 12-team tournament that featured 11-state ranked teams.

Brockport, ranked third in the state, finished fourth after losing to Brentwood in the third-place match, 29-18. The Blue Devils defeated Johnson City of Section IV in the quarterfinals, 38-15, before losing to Fulton, 33-17, in the semifinals.

Johnson City is ranked sixth in the state.
